Who we are…

Richard Fergola, Pitmaster, Richards journey into the world of BBQ began in the kitchen learning how to prepare family favorites with his Mom and Grandmother.  Today he still carries on the family secrets and has found a way to stay true to his roots. His love of Italian food opened the door and lead him to his current obsession with smoke and fire.  Richard’s passion, preparation, organization, determination and planning made him a successful wrestler and coach, and now he applies those same attributes and more into the competition cooking arena.  His commitment and desire to be the greatest at everything he does has helped make Fergolicious BBQ what it is today.

Jeremy Williams, Pitmaster, Jeremy’s journey into the BBQ world stems from being an only child raised by a single mother that taught him a little about every aspect of cooking.  As a native of Kansas City, the birthplace of BBQ, Jeremy grew up on the sweet and spicy flavors that Kansas City BBQ is known for.   Those distinct palette altering tastes representing excellence in BBQ is what drives Jeremy in his pursuit of slow smoked perfection.  As a former athlete and coach, Jeremy brings a committed, hardworking mentality along with a relentless competitive and winning attitude to the Fergolicious Team.  As they travel across the country spreading the word of BBQ by competing and teaching, Jeremy hopes to help others gain a respect for all types of BBQ and ultimately have fun doing it.

Rick Jimenez, Pitmaster in Training, Rick is a long-time friend of Richard’s. 25 years they have been friends and over the past couple of years, Rick has taken alot of interest in helping Fergolicious out on the BBQ trail.  In 2016, Rick started to serve the role of the 3rd team member, assisting at competitions when Jeremy couldn’t make the trip and has become a great asset.  Rick brings alot of management experience to the team .  Rick hopes to continue to spending more time with Fergolicious on their road to the top.
